 THE PROJECT

DETAILS

On July 23rd 2019, the Southwest Planning District and consultant team (SBC & Richard+Wintrup) launched a Development Plan Review that will be ongoing until Fall 2020. The District Development Plan will be the policy document that brings together the high level vision of the District and guide how land and infrastructure will be used and shared. This includes residential, commercial, industrial, environmental, and recreational uses, as well as transportation, water, and waste services.

The Review process begins with collecting background information about each Municipality and gathering input from as many citizens and groups within the District. This will help us generate the Background and Engineering Studies that will summarize what makes Southwest and it's Municipalities unique, and how we can build upon these strengths. Once the Studies are finalized, we will move on to creating the Plan that will layout the policies for the District for the next 5-10 years.

Every citizen has a stake in this process to ensure they have a voice in their community, as we help guide land use and development for the foreseeable future.
